PC & Steam Guide

Play Heartopia on PC

Steam, TapTap client, or emulator — pick the best route for your setup and start playing in minutes.

Steam (Recommended)

Heartopia launched on Steam on January 17, 2026 as a free-to-play title. This is the easiest way to play on PC with automatic updates and cross-platform save sync.

Free to Play

Download and play for free with optional in-app purchases.

Cross-Platform Sync

Bind the same account to sync progress across PC, iOS, and Android.

System Requirements

Windows 10+, 8 GB RAM, Intel i5 or equivalent, 5 GB storage.

Open on Steam

Known Issues

  • Keyboard and mouse controls feel mobile-ported; no native gamepad support yet.
  • UI scaling is designed for touchscreens — elements may appear large on desktop.
  • Login requires third-party account (Google, Facebook, etc.), not Steam native login.

TapTap Client

The official TapTap PC client was available before Steam. Same account system, same updates.

Download from TapTap

Emulator (Alternative)

With native PC clients available, emulators are now a backup option. Use if you need specific Android-only features.

Emulator Setup Steps

1

Install BlueStacks or LDPlayer from the official website.

2

Sign in to Google Play and install Heartopia.

3

Allocate 4 CPU cores and 4 GB RAM in emulator settings.

4

Enable 60 FPS and set keyboard shortcuts for movement/menu.

Performance

Use 1920x1080, 240 DPI, and switch renderer to Vulkan when available.

Controls

Map movement to WASD, quick menu to Tab, and interaction key to E.

Stability

Cap background apps and keep emulator updates aligned with game patches.

Cross-Platform & Account Sync

Heartopia supports cross-platform play. Bind your account once and switch freely between Steam, mobile, and TapTap. Your progress, items, and achievements sync automatically.
